Thanks for the replies. Only driven very old Defenders previously so guess i do need to try a couple of Disco's tomorrow for comparison. Seemed fine to me initially but different story in traffic - maybe i do need to accept that my left leg will get a serious workout!

Hi, Total newbie to land rover disco so please excuse if this is a very naive question! Just got an '02 Discovery TD5 and the clutch is very stiff compared to anything I've driven before. Is this normal or a sign of some issue with the clutch? Thanks in advance. -Steven
