Does anyone know what engine this is or were i can fine the engines codes/dates ive looked all over today cant find a thing its a 2.5 non turbo i think its from a transit

having a closer look i think its a transit engine so forget this question :rolleyes:

Just looking at the engine on my new landy its got ford logos all over the engine and components Is this right or has someone just lumped a ford engine in it??

i doubt the guides will be much use anyway as most of this car has been put back together in such a way nothing is by the book. its the wings im struggling with i cant see how there bolted on i cant even find the bolt heads, wont be surprised if its stuck on with no more nails everything else...

its my first time taking apart a land rover i have a 1979 88, does anyone know of any guides to help me along either videos or written i see there's a haynes manual available but didnt really want to buy one then realise its not much good as im not the best at following the haynes manuals...

ive got all this its just i dont have a clue how to fit it would rather just get an auto electrician to do it il end up making a mess of it. i was just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much something like that would cost

cheers lads doors was the main thing might just make a dash myself and cover it in leather trim.

pardon?? im wanting to change these as ive just bought it and the dash is a half cut up pile of crap bodged rogether with silicone, the doors are rotton and stearing wheel is from a old range rover and its huge :D so will the defender stuff fit as it looks better than the old 88 stuff...

im wanting defender doors, full dash and steering wheel will this fit in my 1979 3 series land rover 88??

just bought a 1979 land rover 88 its on a range rover chassis with all brand new suspension. no leaf springs in sight :) bad point its been used for off roading quite abit the body work is terrible and the interier , wiring and dash looks like its been thrown together by stevie wonder. got tax...
