Ok so I have just decided to put the rear prop back on to see if it would help pinpoint the vibration but when I tried to drive it it felt like it didn't want to move and the gearbox felt like it was vibrating with resistance so I've took the prop back off

I was thinking the gearbox mount been quoted £250 just for the mount

I've had it in 2 garages and both say mountings look fine but there's still a sort of hollow knock coming from passenger wheel area when putting load on and off ie changing gear

It's got a hollow sounding knock from passenger side when putting load on and off and makes a sort of throaty roar when vibrating

It's got a solid flywheel

Think I might have to stick it into 4 muddy feet see if they can find it before spending more money on parts I might not need

Just had a new clutch not long ago it looked ok

The propshaft to the back has been removed and both driveshafts are new had it on the ramps this morning and had a listen while it was ticking over and the gearbox was making a noise as if there was a dry bearing inside it at the back of the box nearest the wheel

Ha ha must have some good batteries in it

It can be felt in all gears but more so in 4th and the more load on the engine the worse the vibration if I go up past 2000rpm really gently there's not much vibration

Hi I have a 2.0di freelander 1 it's got a terrible vibration and shudder at between 1500-2000 rpm mainly in 4th gear it also has a lot of vibration through the pedals , there's no props so in 2wd , upto now I've changed drop links , bottom ball joints , driveshafts , different transfer box ...
