Hi, i have recently had the same problem and carried out the wiring mod shown in the link and it works a treat! since doing it the lights have not come on at except when they are supposed to. Andy.

This happened to mine was i convinced it was turbo untill i looked at the manifold at the bulkhead end of the manifold and could see a sooty deposit on the head.

Why on earth would landrover go to the trouble of fitting the loom for the other electrics but not the charging socket!! Anyway can you tell me exactly what i need to make up the loom and how its installed. Thanks Andy.

Hi does anyone know if i can simply add the charging socket to my discovery td5 landrover fitted tow bar as i've only got the one to control the rear lights? I have seen one advertised that says it will plug into the original loom. Thanks Andy.
