yes i fixed it with a new pump new regulator and a second hand head which was cracked in the fuel gallery and sucking in air so it would not bleed the fuel system i wiss you luck with yours .let me know what it was.

thanks for info but it was the head a hairline crack near to the fuel regulator i did everything everybody said then got a secondhand head . now it runs fine ,had the head teasted and they found the crack so if any body wants to buy a cam,valves injectors rocker get in touch.

thanks for the info , i will try to get a deel on my 18" wheels because i have looked for 18" at. and mt , with no joy apart from colway retreads which have a good name but i need convecing that retreads are ok for motorway driving.

question about tonys td5 ,are the wheels 18 " if so what are the make of tyres are they .and where did you get the front bumper from,??????????

my 2001 td5 wines aswell even after replacing with a o.e.m land rover roter.

i have had everybody and there dog looking at the td5 ,everybody says the same its sucking air in the head ,maybe a crack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

today i finaly got the td5 going,the man from the land rover was right the bloody head was either cracked or sucking air air from a broken injector,a land rovver pal has borrowed me a complete head ,so i put it on today and primed all the fuel system approx 10 mins , turned the key and away it...

i agree with yella disco man we need more info ,or do like the guy from soudi says and flogg it with a big stick !!!!!!!!

i have just bought the disc on ebay ,oem.landrover pdf form, for the vast amount of £3.50 tried it and it is perfect covers td5 and v8 and freelanders !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the td5 will still not go .so i have had it on the testbook laptop, all the electrics are ok ,i replaced the fuel presure regulator ,still the same.the man from landrover said that he has not come across this problem before and came to check everything i had done , he said the only thing left...

i tried cranking and waiting still no joy .now i have been told that the cylinder heads crack and suck air in from there,it does lose a bit of water but no leaks no oil in water and no water in oil has any body known of head cracks?

i took the pipe off the regulator the pump still not pumping no noise so i checked for live at the pump that was ok .put a new pump on ,now it pumping round the system ok but still willnot bleed it seems like it is still getting air in the system.

the fuel pump was knackerd got anew one £200 ,still will not start , so the guy at the landrover shop told me to replace the presure regulator ,so i did that $70 .and still wont start ,it will not bleed itself even after 1 hour trying,any body got any more ideas .

i have tried all the pipes and drained the filter still no fuel pumping,

my fuel pump has stopped working ithink, it does not make any noise anymore is there any test i can do before i replace it (£200.00)
