So that's that idea out the window then. So if I am understanding this right the switch/aircon control sends a request to the bcu to turn on and the bcu turns on for a set time. I need to get this sorted as I am going to forget and burn out the elements. Thanks everyone so far.:confused...

Does anyone know if the front and rear heated window switches are electorally the same, as my front one will turn on but not off. The only way to turn it off is turn the engine off and restart. I know I will have to cut the plug slightly to make it fit but rear switches are under a tenner on...

I believe there is a loophole in the new F gas regulations, if you don't vac and recover just top up you don't need to be qualified. This is how Halfords and Qwick rip get away with it.

Thanks for that, I tried the super glue trick along with fasting and prayer. As the seal is about four inches to small I might try putting it in tension to stretch it a bit before trying again.

Discovery 2 year 2000, does anyone know if there are two types of sunroof seals fitted in the disco? I have just resealed the frames to the roof and thought i would change the seals while they were out.
The one supplied by LR has a ridge each side of the lower part of the seal which looks like...

Another vote for Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack cure, keep feeding it in to the crack between the roof and and sunroof surround until it stops absorbing it. Best to do a bit each day but it needs to be dry first.

Same happened to me,sharp braking and the three lights came on. On the assumption that the shuttle valve had shuttled forward and stuck I gave the ABS unit a gentle tap On the front and on starting no lights. That was one month/3000 miles ago.

Had the same problem, after I bought a LR one i noticed that it appeared the same as a smiley Transit one, a Transit filter from Halfords or whoever's open will have a plastic fuel drain plug that should fit to get you out of trouble.
