Just to close this out - blue+white wasnt main beam.. blue+grey(slate) is. Switch the relay feed over and worked fine! Thanks all

And if I replace main beam feed with battery +ve then it works fine

I'm doing the same thing as this (thanks to whoever drew this), where the main beam feed is as described above

Hi, I'm trying to fit some spot lights and could do with some wiring help - it's not working and I've no idea why. I've fitted 2 spots on a bar on the roof driven by a relay which should be switched by main beam and an override. If I don't use the main beam and just take power off the battery...

First post on here! For what it's worth I did it with some old electric wire holding the two springs - leave a gap so you can seat it onto the u-bush
