Generator seems to go all the way up to 32v when at speed or with four on the accelerator. Should there be a regulator somewhere? At standstill the generator is supplying 28.6v but on the road this is more like 29.5v. I’m thinking I need a DC to DC charger to even out the over voltage supply...

Ok so sorted. The engine needs a touch of accelerator before generating the expected 28v. Which it’s doing now. Time to get to grips with the split charge system now. Getting two new (leisure) batteries for that. Anyone know if the big red isolation switch is live when pushed in or out??

I’m just getting to know my new (to me) Wolf Defender 110 FFR. Put a meter across the batteries with the engine off which read 25.4 then started her up to read 25.2!? I’m presuming it should be nearer 28v when running. So where to start looking for the issue? Any suggestions welcome!

Long time coming but they caught a couple of idiots driving my 'former' Land rover and they're going to be in court before the end of the year...meantime had bought a replacement 300Tdi and loving it...with a lot more security this time!

Meant to say the brand of Pedal Lock was PADDOCKs http://www.paddockspares.com/pm1098-defender-rhd-pedal-lock.html I will probably go for the other type, next time, that folds up over the pedals - bit more expensive - but it's always in situ. Plus an imobiliser and a steerling dislock. Also...

I had the same miserable experience four weeks ago. Hope you get it back. Did you have any security devices on it? I had a pedal lock but they got around that.

It was the pedal box type.

Cheers, no sign of it -almost gone a week now. Yes the pedal look must of simply delayed them -obviously they know a way around them now. Swine.

Would appreciate all eyes and ears out there for my 1995 Defender. The pedal clamp didn't work out this time sadly. Horrible to wake up to a space outside the house where my Land Rover usually sits.
