Hi.Thanks for your reply. Are you saying that if there is a problem with the stat that I would see water going around if the engine was cold ?. Whereas if the stat was OK water would not be seen moving until the engine had got up to temperature. (Well that's how I remember it works years ago)...

The ones on there at the moment are continentals on the front. Michelins on the back.I bought it with those tyres.

My Freelander 2 passed its MOT with flying colours today. But with one possibly expensive advisory note. That being I've only got about 1500 miles left on all four tyres. So I'm going to get them done straight away,as i have a 2k trip around Austria etc booked up. So can any member please advise...

Hi Gary.Now thats a good idea. I invested in one of those gadgets that when you whistle it beeps back to show you where your keys are.Drove me up the bloody wall, as it went off every time my wife laughed. Hence it don'e whistle anymore.
