Doesn't appear to be any holes in them no, but the air intake hose looks a bit worse for wear, no holes but looks like it's not sealed properly could this be the issue?

This is my first ever car, at first I had a significant amount of black smoke coming out the exhaust everytime I accelerated, it crawled up hills and wouldn't go over 70mph. Diagnostics gave me Error code - P0046 - solenoid on the actuator. Since this I have changed the crank case breather...
