Now thats a thought, What sort of miles per gallon would you get out of it though,about the N/A i had heard that there were problems with the turbo version, but i could never find out what those problems were or are, are N/A engines difficult to get, or hard to get used parts for, is the next...

I was told they were no good and only give a low mileage in comparison to the non turbo, because they were never designed a for a turbo, I am trying to establish whether there is any truth in that, What do you reckon, or what does any one reckon, I would like to here about peoples views on this...

Can anyone please tell me is it easy to take off or indeed add a turbo, to the 2.5 engine, in other words can a 2.5 N/A be converted to a 2.5 td, and vice versa or is there more to it than that? Mike

The other thing that occurs to me is that if thje 2.5 N/A was designed as a non turbo, then surely by adding a turbo with no mods done to the engine at all would put a great deal of strain on the engine in general, giving it perhaps a short life, which is possibly why the engine was changed in...

So the 2.5 N/A was a 3 series then, I know that all diesels are injection, but was the 2.5 direct injection as for example the 2.5 transit engine which has no need for heater plugs, i thought because it is a direct injection. I dont quite understand the technicalities of why that would be...
