OKay, I think I've taken all on board adn so, in no particular order, my short list goes something like this: 200/300tdi Range Rover classic 200/300tdi Discovery Any Defender that looks like Carpy's!

Legend. I'll do some hunting and see what earlier discoverys I can uncover in Scotland. I never reallly thought about a Range Rover as I don't think I'm posh enough and, as you say, they burn fuel although LPG would be good idea.... Defo gonna do some hunting and some more homework! Thanks...

The freelander kinda came with a house I bought (long boring story) and I probablywouldn't have bought one otherwise. If I'm getting another Land Rover its between a Discovery and Defender - Defender because I prefer them but I've also got to do 80 miles a day so perhaps comfort...
