Its a technique called photogrammetry. More here: What is Photogrammetry Disclosure - I run the company along with my business partner.

That A frame cross member would have been replaced like for like. Even has the 4 holes for a bose unit (sometimes on range roves & early 110 for a self levelling devise) Later models use a tubular type for the rear arms. There are some nice...

A little bit is not the end of the world, a simple test is get the engine nice and hot, leave it ticking over and loosen the oil filler cap, then place the cap in its home but not screwed in, if it rattles around all is okay, but if it start to...

With Izzy's body off its time to start thinking about its future. As per the other thread, I dont think the current chassis has one. But that kind of depends on what modifications from standard have been previously incorporated, and how easy...

Big day yesterday as Izzy's body came off. Couple of neigbours and the lady of the house press ganged into helping did the job: A pressure wash shifted the dirt and revealed the good bits and horrors in equal measure. The fuel tank has surface...

White smoke = unburnt fuel or coolant. If its cold...more likey unburnt fuel. Coolant would have other symptoms...loss of coolant being one of them. Blue = oil. At startup probably running past valve stem seals. (On Chieftain tanks this was...

What colour is the smoke? Black? White? Or blue? And where is it coming from? Tailpipe? Under the bonnet?

SimonBrown replied to the thread Are lift pumps getting worse?.
My 110 has a Isuzu 2.8 engine and that has no lift pump. The Bosch VE rotary does the job once primed and for purging air there is currently a rubber bulb on the fuel line to be squeezed. I cant say I was a fan of the rubber bulb and was...

Correct. 4psi is the max pressure the pump can make against a dead head. It ticks away for a few seconds just before starting the engine then stops. I never hear it when the engines running. Makes bleeding the fuel system a doddle too. I fit 1/8"...

Been staring at rubber grommets for too long...Google is great but the amount of slop served up leaves a needle in a haystack type search. They are close enough. And cheap enough to have a punt and see. And...the brackets are still at a point...

Forward of the rad Izzy carrys a full width intercooler. This is supported by some homemade brackets that are being refurbed, and all are fitted with a common design of support rubber. Does anyone recognise this from the LR parts bin? I need...

On the heater box there are 6 rivets that are tight into the joint: Its just too tight for the nose of the lazy tongs. I have Googled a bit and not really turned up anything that looks like it with cope with this or a few spots where some...

Whoever designed the heater box certainly took an interesting route. Or some drugs. One or the other as its ended up complex and both rivetted and spot welded along the same joints. Its consumed 12 hours of my life I reckon. There is the one way...

This has occured to me and my DT choice. From a previous life, I had worked with the Deutsch stuff and found it easy to work with and very reliable. The AMP stuff I was aware of and the fact the 300tdi used em was another up vote too. If the DT...

I’m pretty sure they are from the channel in the roof, internal, where the roof, side panel and mount for the seat belt bracket all meet. If it is try them at either side. When I was working on mine they were drilled and bolted to a specific...

Not quite, but that line of thinking triggered a memory! They go under the centre tub capping - the one on the bulkhead - and rivets through the top capping hold them on. So thank you...jigsaw puzzle piece solved.

Parts went off to the platers, but cannot for the life of me remember where they came from. Nor can I find them in the photos or 3D models... They are handed, and I know they are mine (not mixed up) as I stamped "LH" and "RH" on them as an aide...
