i can hear the pump running and can feel from the pipes that fuel is travling through

how can i check the in the tank? and the one under the bonet makes a loud noice i can get it started by taking the pip off that is conected to the outgoing on the top of the fuel filte and waiting for fuel to start coming out then putting it back on. but doesnt last long

i have a 51plate freelander td4 gs, it struggles to start till i pull some pipes off and force the fuel to come through the filter i have changed the filter and the black box on the top of it but when the car turnes off i can hear all the fuel fall back into the tank. is this caused by the fuel...
