I read somewhere the gearbox oil seal can fail and overfill the transfer box as the gearbox runs at a higher pressure

Just asking as I can't find it anywhere else. The new MOT in may 2018 seems to fail cars for modified/not original parts. Will all disco 2 converted from bags to coils fail ?

I've been told, engine oil & all filters, gearbox oil, transfer box oil, diff oil, haldex oil & filter, brake fluid, auxiliary belt and timing belt. Timing belt already done on mine so a small saving but 2 independents on the Web are quoting £850. How much is oil nowadays,

Hi, what are the tell tale signs that the fl2 diff or haldex is on its way out. Mine has an intermittent vibration like driving on washboard gravel, when on straight smooth roads. Only done it three times over about a year, lasts a minute or two then clears itself.

Did it again today for about a minute, no real sound but it was like driving on washboard gravel.

It's diesel but it's not missing, it's running fine and I can knock it into neutral (manual) and it still does it. It's a 57 plate and well serviced with 115000 miles. No codes.

I'm just not sure, last week it did it on a long straight road and the time before, about 2 months ago, I was on a long straight section of the M62. I had convinced myself it wasn't the haldex as there was no steering input at the time, but i am doubting myself. I have no juddering pulling away...

Every now and again my fl2 rumbles a bit, and sometimes it feels like I've lost all pressure out of a tyre, like I'm running on a rim, then it goes away after 3 or 4 minutes. It's baffling me, any ideas guys

I had another listen today and it seems to come from the timing belt side of the engine. Could it be a auxiliary belt tensioner or something like that ?

Hi it does it any time it's at 1000rpm , stationary with clutch in, stationary with clutch out, and when pulling away till it hits 1100 or 1200 rpm then stops.
