Sometimes the actuator on my Disco1's back door just can't be arsed to work. Clicking the remote twice goads it into life.

I'm in the process of fitting a second battery to my 300 tdi Disco 1. Getting in the way is this odd thingamajig. One of the tubes is connected to the air intake box, one has been capped off with a bit of tape and the final one is connected to a servo pipe. Can I remove it?
