Try some STP engine stop smoke

Try changing the oil pump if you sport is the 2.7 or 3.0 v6 get the upgraded oil pump amd fit new cam belt etc while doing the job

a friend of mine put a forklift engine in a RRmk1 and another pal put a tractor engine in 1 .(dont you just love Range Rovers ) ive biult loads hotrods bikes trikes etc over the years and like i allways say fix the weak link an well maintain it and soon your motor will be good

Took the RRS for a spin today and it warmed up in cabin nice and drove spot on well happy sure there will be some issue along the way to sort out ,as ive enjoyed fixing this motor

Sounds like fuel drain back

Genuine LR seal used and new cam belt etc now its all back together and running perfectly no leaks well happy here. just need to sort the hot air in cabin as coolant was drained and its a bit late in the evening so sort that tomorrow

I picked up a 2005 RRS 2.7tdv6 with 180k on the clock it had a oil leak i took the £2,600 gamble on it and come to find out it had the upgraded oil pump fitted but some knobhead didnt fit the seal correctly so after replacing the oil seal and cam belt etc it now runs beautifully no warning...

Well happy ive done the oil leak on me RRS 2.7 replaced oil pump seal and new cam belt etc ,started it up an it runs beautiful no leaks well happy.... just got to sort out the hot air inside the motor as coolant had to be drained .is there another bleed value apart from the header tank 1 ...
