Try pressing the fuel cut off inertia switch button on the bulkhead, my TD5 did not start one day and thats what it was, it must have tripped shutting off the fuel, after resetting the switch it fired up instantly.

Try the easiest thing first charge your battery or replace it for a heavy duty truck battery, TD5's require a good battery to spin them over fast enough to start in cold weather, once started they are fine, classic battery issue.

Check your clutch fluid level, have you a small wet patch under your clutch peddle ?. If so master cylinder seal will be leaking.

Most likely the alternator Diode has been damaged, this is a one way switch to send power to the battery, if it is damaged current will flow backwards.

Photo 2 are emission control solenoids not fuel injectors, if your egr is blanked off the vacuum pipe will be redundant but should be blanked off. Check your air inlet pipes for leaks, from filter to aftercooler and turbo and inlet manifold for leaks and split hoses. Remove blanking plate and...

Try resetting the fuel inertia trip on bulkhead, press the button at the base and then try to start her up.

THe only time my alarm has gone off spuriously it was the bonnet alarm swith on the bulkhead that needed straightening up, bonnet was not pushing it down far enough, my neighbour had the same problem on his Range Rover. The bracket may need pushing up a bit as well.

Usually caused by the cable bending at hand brake lever connection, a very common fault, new cable required. Changed mine for same fault and now perfect.

My TD5 has "ALWAYS" started first turn of the key but last night if cranked over but did not start, I was in a hurry to be some where and it was raining heavy so I left it and used my Volvo.
It has been p#ssing down all day so did not venture out until 5pm today to look at it which gave me time...

Will it still have an oil leak if it is electric, can this feature be built in to an electric motor.
