I have a similar problem but just spray WD40 around the coil and everything is OK. Got a new coil coming next week so hopefully this will cure it

Drive with mine open when the weather is hot. I have the rear window gaurd on mine so no worries of anyone stealing my shopping.....lol especially when the dogs are in there

thanks for the reply. i understand what you are sayin about the rear prop not movin but also when the front wheels spin in the snow the front prop doesnt spin. if it was the vcu failed would this stop the front prop from movin.

hi ya guys need some advice just bought an 99 v reg freelander and noticed the 4wd wasnt working right. done a few searches and everthing say`s the vcu and checked that and all seems fine with that i think away to to the tipex test shortly.. whats happening is i can get both front wheels...
