:confused: hi I've got myself a land rover defender petrol 2.5 year is 93. I've taken the delay valve out of the vacuum pipe and it seems to be running much better, does anyone know if you have to have the valve in and how it actually works. Could my valve just be faulty? would replacing it...

Does anyone out there know if there is internal core plugs in the head of a petrol 2.5 defender. As our mechanic says one is corroded which is allowing water into the engine sump?

what is this and how do sort it out?

I bought the car from a trader, he said it had been in his family and was reliable, he had replaced distributor and carburetor with new, also new plugs and head gasket has been replaced. runs fine but doesn't seem to like starting once its been running a while. Also there is fuel vapours coming...
