Many thanks Kermit_rr. Think I have the later as if I've found the right installation diagram online it says to either use an existing Bosch connector or cut and solder the wiring to each injector. Hopefully all will become clear when I start unwrapping the insulation tape.

I am replacing the head gaskets on my V8. At some point it had LPG although the tank and main fuel lines from the boot to engine bay are no longer around. It was a Zavoli Alesei system. LPG ECU and tapped manifold injectors still insitu. My mileage is low and I have no history on the system...

Hi Steve and thanks for your suggestion. No, its not the exhaust. Its a definite on / off sound. Just wondering if its something to do with the Wabco ACE pump initialising on start up, or not, as the case may be.
