On stripping the 4.6 i noticed that the oil squirt groove in the big end cap has been deleted, yet the new bearings have the little notch to allow the oil into missing groove. Has anyone given this a thought as i am going to put the groove in the big end cap to squirt oil into the piston skirts...

Just to put my experience with the rv8 on this thread, I've rebuilt a few over the years and the old 3.5's were put together well, I'm just putting a 4.6/3.9 together and both motors on strip down had major issues caused by really bad engine builds...
