I am living in rural Aberdeenshire, was born in Blackburn Lancs though and grew up in Chaderton Manchester. Always from my earliest memories had a fascination with anything mechanical or electronic, used to drive my mum daft when she'd find me pulling her new appliance apart to see "how it worked" !! entered the motor trade at 16 and had a varied career from technician to senior management but left dismayed seeing the job was more about money than the cars I loved. Retired early due to various Health Issues and now lucky enough to be able to use my obsession with vehicles to keep my fitness and health at better levels than it would otherwise be. Show me a basket case no one would touch and there I will be, buying it and starting the crazy journey of futility and crazy hours until it is what I want it to be. Oh and if if it returns more than 20mpg and not at least a V8 petrol then really that isn't a real interest to me. Though I have at 57 just bought my first diesel a L322 3.0tdi HSE so let the adventure begin. Oh yes in my usual nutjob way the gearbox does not put out any drive so you may just see tears before long !!!!!!
