well after reading and being skeptical about the differance a pice of pipe would make to the landy i took the plunge and bought the brit part kit which had the egr valve, jubily clips and silicone hoses (nothing to block the vacum pipe with low but a bolt has sorted that problem). had a few...

yep had my number 3 injector replaced as well and now only get the problem on first start up or if i have left the car over long periods. i will get down to the bottom of this

similar to my problem had 2 falty injectors replaced but still has a problem starting

i have another thread in the freelander engine forum at the moment and have listed some of the things change which include
fuel pressure sensor and harness
lift pump (what ever pump that is )
leak back test carried out ( 1 injector needed changed and was done)

well tried patching the hole and if anything its getting worse. dealer wants to change crank sensor next the list of new parts is getting longer but the problem is getting worse.

well i had mine back from the indy for not even 24hrs and she has failed to start 3 times already

just a quick question for td4 owners when you first start your motor do your revs move slightly up and down a few times or dose it find a spot and stay there?
mine moves up and down and i think it is a problem but maybe this is what they do ?

sounds very similar to mine, indy replaced injector and has improved the problem but still have a slight movement in the reves on first start up

well had a look today and checked the two hoses coming from the intercooler.the top pipe seams worn down on the bend but cant seam to find a hole in it. might get some of that pipe repair tape to see if that makes a differance. i do plan on fitting new silicon hoses but dont want to go spending...
