    Generator for Morocco trip

Seems like a waste of time. You are never that far from civilisation that would require generating power. If you really need power get a tow from someone to somewhere that has it and the facilities that having power would require. It'll just be adding more weight to your vehicle.

    1960 S2 Rusty Rhinos Rebuild

Going down nip down to Spain next Thursday for the Land Rover Party It has a carb from a 2.5 Defender. With parabolics and new everything it drives lovely and in relative comfort. Have not got the over drive on yet which is a shame but all in good time. Yeah no plans yet for a big trip in the...

    1960 S2 Rusty Rhinos Rebuild

So we are now in September 2016. A week before we drive to Spain and it has pretty much been finished. Still have the winch to wire up, tidy up the wiring and a few other bits and bobs but it has an MOT and can be driven down to Spain as it stands. So here is Fred:

    Morocco Trip July/August 2016

--->Also you want to have a guide in your car if you are driving on your own. He will know the dangerous places and have multiple simcards for moroccan networks. The signals in the desert area are mixed and random strength if any. If you cross too close to the Algerian border you can get in...

    Help please

Hello, Money aside, how much time do you have to do the trip in? Someone may correct me but I'd say part of the reason why people sponsor events is due to the nature of it being a challenge - if you are going through Europe with a guide then you may struggle to get sponsorship for the given...

    Western Sahara Charity Drive 2016

It was supplied by the user "Ryder" on here. Not sure if he still does that sort of stuff or not, but worth giving him a shout.

Also, tell your brother to man up or find someone else. You don't want someone that isn't committed as a passenger or co-driver. Just my opinion.

    Western Sahara Charity Drive 2016

Not that we have raised mega money (10K since we started) but I have found that people are more sympathetic to giving money if they really do see it as a challenge rather than sponsoring a holiday! - That is one of the reasons why we used a SWB Series 2A and gave ourselves a short time scale...

    Western Sahara Charity Drive 2016

Went with one car to Morocco and slightly nipped into Western Sahara and it was brilliant. Lots of off-road. The mines are no joke - plenty of villagers with missing limbs and cars (or bits of) that have clearly gone ka-boom. What is it? 16 million estimated mines still out there? Figure out the...

    Mongolia 2015

Hello. Have been to Mongolia twice - once in 2007 which was to Mongolia and leaving the vehicle there (Suzuki SJ 410) and once in 2014 (S2A 1963 SWB Petrol) where we also drove to China so we could get the car shipped back. Loved it both times. The RRC is a superb overland vehicle in my opinion -...
