Thanks for the replies. The indicator doesn't come on when I turn the ignition on and there are no service intervals given in the handbook, hence the question. I want to turn it on as I am not doing many miles so it probably won't need a full service every year.

Just had my '07 4.2 S/C serviced and I want to turn the dash indicator on - can I do this myself or will a dealer need to do it? The garage (non LR) told me that it is reset but nothing appearing in the dash display. Thanks.

Very pleased (and relieved!) to report that the problem was due to the clamp bolt and not anything more sinister (and expensive!). Now sorted.

Quick update. Full battery test by Land Rover dealer has confirmed that battery is u/s. New one being fitted at the weekend, however this will not solve the problem as battery drain too high with fuse 49 back in - although it will help. Does anyone think that an auto electrician could isolate...
