Low oil pressure would cause the turbo to go tits up, does it knock as at once warm? If it does need a turbo ive got one with a genuine 7k milage for £120, fitting is simple.

I still run with the fan fitted and havnt experienced any high/abnormal temps. The fan cowl is in the back of the landy so IF it does start gettin a tad warm i'll re fit it :)
