well it has gone. I thought the 5.0 were more of a solid engine. To be fair, i had the P38 for 5 years and in that time it hadn't really given me any problems. If i can get the same from the 5.0, for the 2-years that i plan to keep her, i will be more than happy.

I agree- but haven't even had the time in the last week to take it for a wash. Let alone advertising it for sale. I know they will make more but that is business, they have overheads. Also thought about it keeping it for occasion use. Not that posh yet, where i can have 2 RR. I will however now...

So the dealer is now offering £1200. as a P/X. Am thinking with the time required to sell it, may be worth just taking it in as a P/X. - any ideas

I have had my P38 for 5 years and in that time i think the heaviest snow fall was in 2010 and i found the P38 to handle very well. It dug itself out of the snow after being parked for a few days on a "hill" and handled the drive around London and the motorway with no problems at all.

I have just a purchased a 5.0Sc which has 22" OF wheels. My current P38 also has 20" wheels fitted which i have been told are the reason it occasionally "skips". Should i replace the current wheels with original 20" LRRR wheels?

I hope i am not breaking forum rules. Looking for c2K, i am picking the other on Monday and have left things a bit late.

thanks, i will advertise it on there also. It is a good runner, i think someone who knows about the P38 would be able to give it some much needed TLC would appreciate it. The dealer has made me an offer as a P/X - however i would prefer to sell it privately for the same amount.

BTW it was Datatek who said "Sorry, if the head has been skimmed, personally I would not touch it" The work was actually carried out by an Independent Land rover Specialist - if that makes any difference.
