It was, or should have been changed, around May this year during the service, but as I didn't carry it out I can't say whether it was done or what type of oil was used. Good garage though so doubt they omitted it, unless it wasn't due to be changed at that service.

Unfortunately I can't remember, and I am away from home right now so can't go out to try it!

Our Tdi 2.5 diesel has developed a strange fault and we would appreciate any ideas. Whilst driving a few days ago it became a bit stiff to select any gear, but there were no noses or other symptoms. Then after driving for a while it went back to normal and nice and smooth. Next day all was well...
