Just hot according to the gauge the needle goes past the red as far as it can go. The hose leaving the radiator at the bottom feels just warm so no steam from header tank, the hose from the engine to top of rad though feels very hot.

No oil in water and the oil, looks fine. It has been running hot for a long while now and there has never been any loss of coolant but I do only use for short journeys. I have not flushed out the heater matrix though so will give that a go and also test the thermostat. Cheers

Cheers looks like I will have to take the head off then. Have tried with heater on and expansion cap seals well.

Any ideas My ex MOD 2.5n/a overheating, I have fitted new thermostat - new water pump - new temp sensor in cyl head - have removed rad and flushed out system with hosepipe and put back with new coolant. Still overheating though. The radiator though appears to be working as the top hose is very...
