    Hi Nodge and Paul. Thanks for replies, i have spoke with my mech and he agrees with you, he is going to refit the old sensor and pull off error codes the refit another new sensor and pull off error codes and compare to original error codes and take it from there. Thanks again for your advice...

    Hi All. Out of the blue the car started to randomly judder. It was as if the engine had switched off for a fraction of a second and then restarted. After much investigation the fault was identified as a crankshaft position sensor fault, so i replaced sensor. A few weeks later it happened again...
