I dont think it's anything to do with that. It is doing it when its above 5 degrees and its smells different to the fumes that usually come from it.

It seems to be coming from the front as I can smell it when the vents are on. It doesn't seem to have a burning cat smell, more of a fluid burning smell, if that makes sense. Thanks for your reply though. It's something I will get checked.

It's an auto. Sorry forgot to say. I dont think it's going to be brakes as it's fine when it's just normal driving. It's only when under load, going up steep hills or towing horsebox/ cars. Thanks for replies so far.
