hi just bought 08 freelander 2 2.2 i am not impressed with mpg can anyone say what it should be i can only get about 27 mpg many thanks robert

just bought 08 freelander2 private seller when i am in 5th or 6th gear and downshifting the spring wont return the gear knob to netural possition but when sitting in car the gear knob returns ok and feels good anyone any ideas robert
