    Stiff gears

Hi. Sorry I haven't posted update on my gear problem but I had other ongoing issues with the freelander. However I did take all your advice & got the new clutch kit as recommended. It took weeks of waiting to get her done because I missed 2 alloted bookings due to covid so was put to the back of...

    Stiff gears

Right then that's the one I'll go for. That should definitely (hopefully cure the problem of stiff gears). My brother said when he put the car in neutral & switched the engine of he could feel the gear stick give abit of movement back & forth just as it was shutting down. But I'll get the set of...

Just wondering if there's a difference in the clutch kits & how would I know if it's the correct match for my f2? Their on eBay for around £350-ish which includes the duel mass. (in assuming I'll need the duel mass). Any advise welcome. Thanks.

Just tried bleeding the clutch but there wasn't any air bubbles coming out at all. Nice clean fluid too. I was keeping my fingers crossed but didn't make any difference lol. Any other things I could try b4 being drastic & having the g/box removed? Thanks for your help. Also, I'd like to pay into...

Perfect, I'll get this done over the w/end. As with standard break bleeding I would need to continue until there's no air bubbles going into the jar I presume. I'll get help from my brother to do the bleeding. Thanks again & I'll keep the results posted. Rob

Handy to know about no breather on the f2. I'm trying to find out if there's a a way to bleed the f2 hydraulic clutch system. (I don't usually get time to get online from Mon to Thursday due to silly work shift's). I'll search & find out b4 I have the gearbox removed, just incase.

I had same problem (smoke) with my TD4 f1 & because I didn't have a clue I assumed it was rings or knackered engine. £400 for another & all the hard work fitting it only to discover it was the crank case filter. Devastated isn't the work. But I've got a good engine sitting there gathering dust...

That'll make all the difference if it has mate. Thanks

Make's sense. I always assumed I couldn't bleed a hydraulic clutch. I had another engine put in my f1 by a mate & he had a big issue bleeding the clutch. Not sure how he managed it but it was ok after he did it. I'm not clued up mechanically so I'll need to find out how it's don't & I'll...
