Experiencing a problem with my defender 300tdi. When driving the the battery light is dimly flashing. At the same time there seems to be a slight power surge to the driving lights and heating fans.

Following my landy (300Tdi) not starting on Sunday AM Ive had my battery on trickle charge but it does not seem to be holding the charge. Im guessing its knackered.
The battery thats currently on is 60amps (CCA SAE 570amps). Am I right is saying that its not the correct battery...

Thanks for the tip but I don't have any kids!! :)
Anyway, for the record it's a M3 bolt/screw. I gone with allen key head so it far easier to put in and get out without having to totally take apart the door innards.

I have a 300Tdi and when I switch the engine on the dashboard engine temp gauge goes straight to the red area. However as you start moving, and assuming the engine is getting air circulated, the temp reading drops immediately below half way.

Ive been experience some issues with the my 300 Tdi starting. It turns out my braided fuel hose pipes have perished. Obviously Im looking to replace.
My questions is should I just buy a length of house and simple push the hose onto the connectors as it is now:

No, i was just want to fit a new barrel to the existing lock. even after drilling the lock I'be not been able to turn the barrel to show the brass button. anyway, I've ordered a new lock today:mad:

I tried to drill out the lock as suggested yesterday but unfortunately the bottom part of the lock sheared off. Whilst the lock now turns it’s still not exposing the little brass button you need to press to release the remains of the barrel.
I suspect I’m going to need to buy a new...
