    It dies straight away on flicking the switch. I have been switching over to petrol regularly about once a week. Tank never ran dry. I will check pipework for splits as it did backfire the other day. Many thanks to all for your help

    this happened the other day after disconecting battery for charging,put battery back in and the gas system would not change back to petrol.its been working fine up to now.the gas system was fitted couple of years ago and set up to start on gas,sorry for any confussion
