Thanks Shocker, its ok when it comes to the MOT. Take it to my mates garage, he has been MOT'ing my cars for nearly 10 years. Its amazing what a bag of doghnuts or cookies does!!!

Right I have now removed the end pipe and capped it off, replaced the large pipe, cleaned out the end of the inlet manifold (fairly full of gung) and capped both ends of the vacum pipe. Took for a spin and left my backside still on the roundabout as the car took off. Well lets see how the fuel...

lol, What I ment to say was I have bought a Blanking kit to tottaly remove the EGR. What I want to know is what to do with the cooling pipes. Whats the best way to join them together?

Hi all. I have spent a long time reserching about the formidable EGR replacement. I now have the kit BUT have a slight issue!! My 1998 300 tdi (jap import) seems to have a "water jacket" around the egr! I cannot seem to find ANY reference anywhere on the internet about this. Whats the best way...

Thanks discool, basically just want the remote working as cheap as poss. not really bothered about changing the spec from Jap to Englis, and yes its a 2 bitton Lucas remote.

One thing witht he front doors, make sure the glass is FULLY rasied and undo the frame retating bolts. you can lift the frame clear and it gives you better access. NOPE it still leaks!!!!!

Spent a number of hours removing both sunroofs, cleaned, sealed and refitted then sealed again, then sealed entire windscreen!!! plus a few odds and sods. hopefully I have FINALLY cured the free showers and wet boot!!!!!!
