Thanks for the reply. It's a early 1989 2.5DT I just changed the sender yesterday and now when you turn the ignition on the temp gauge goes straight to hot within 30 seconds. Engine not running. I have seen posts where others say it's a bad earth. Any idea which earth? Any advice is appreciated.

My temp gauge was on cold. Took the lead off the sender and earthed it to the engine. Ignition on and did did not move. Checked behind the gauge and found out it was disconnected. Put it back on and now the gauge after 5 mins of running is in the red...the engine is not overheating..and not...

I just snapped the heater cable that operates the flap for hot air (on top of heater box) where is the best place to buy a new cable. I think I will replace all 3 while I am at it. Is it a difficult operation to change? Any advice please. Thanks

Hi Aaron, yes had it tested by electrician...power to it..but its dead as a dodo. Will the newer flat one fit? it looks like the mounting brackets are in different location?

I am in desperate need of a rear windscreen wiper motor for my Defender...its the old round model. Any help where I can get a second hand one and a rear heated window. Been searching online for the past 2 weeks.
