Compared to what alternative pickups? L200 in your price range is junk, isuzu of that age you’d likely hate. A Land Rover of any guise is expensive to maintain and it sucks you in to doing upgrades, tweaks and niggles. They are big 4x4s with...

Gotta remember these were high end vehicles despite being cheap now. I’ve had very few premium vehicles that have had much change left after a grand in maintenance. A d2 with a good chassis wouldn’t cost the earth to maintain? 15p with good...

That’s a lot of parts now installed and unknowns rectified. I’ve record of the cambelt being done - previous owner seemed to keep ontop of it so I’m content with that. Cooling didn’t seem bad - my temp sender is in the stat housing so think it...

She looks mean mate 😎 Did you just drill into the D44 bumper for your spotlight mounts? I’ve got some safaris than I want to install. Ideally wanted to put on the foam A bar but don’t want to drill into that.

One of my disco 1s will need a new windscreen in order to pass MOT. Has a nice crack along the bottom and looks like someone’s fired a .22 at the drivers face. Can anyone recommend a service close to Southampton please?

Decided to make this today. Straps onto the spare wheel a ratchet strap. Plenty on holes for straps/bungees plus some hooks for wrapping/hanging recovery strops Even did a little matching basket for stuff and things.

I went to war with that pump housing. When I say the bolt was seized in the housing I mean the bolt was near enough welded to the whole. Thread was fine but I spent a good couple hours wrestling with it. I actually ended up cutting it to get the...

I pull the chain and use a spatula to load the gun, I've got a big tub of grease, with no centre piece..

Normally the Wanners fill up by pushing over the center hole in the pot of grease, a bit messy but works. pull the chain and lock it then fIll.

I have a brand new pick-up. It’s excellent. I specced it exactly how I wanted. It doesn’t put a foot wrong. I don’t speed in it at all really - pointless. I then drive my disco 300tdi. Quite long in the tooth. The disco you concentrate more, you...

This^^. I am in exactly the same position and could not have put it better myself. 200tdi 110 has been my daily drive since I was 18, I do about 30k miles a year, and the wife's car just feels terrible to drive. they are perfectly capable of...

This is perfect advice!! Your chassis may be clean on outside but if it’s dirty on the inside on the weld area you will end up with fireworks down your sleeves and weld contamination. This may end up with you chopping out a tad more than you...

How you getting on? Dippybud is referring to the end of sill to bottom of wheel arch tie in panel, it’s a bit t of a fiddle to make. Froggats sell them. I was jammy and picked two up second hand that never got used. You tie them in at bottom of...

As said silverline is rubbish, I would pop into machine mart and ask their advice How are you loading the grease gun? The grease gun ends from machine mart are actually very good, and are what I use at work on the milwaukee.
