Ok. So much attention on this thread. Well once I removed the gasket from the block I could see that at the last cylinder the gasket was not round but egg shaped. Getting head skimmed. New gasket and bobs your relation.. Or so it goes. DD

hi there. anyone ever replaced the bearing and seal in the stub axle.. how do you get it out? i know prob a special tool, but what is it? DD

interesting mark, as mine are pretty ming i'll leave that till i have to replace them. oh just found bits of the washer and bearing of the top pin... also had a look at the stubaxle internal bearing.. how do i get that out?? DD

hi thanks for you imput jamesmartin, markl, radagast, thor. if i got the money i will replace all bearings and seals.. but if i'm tight on money i hope to get away with leaving the seal and bearing in the stubaxle alone, as i'm gona run grease.. hope that works. still don't know what exactly...

hi mark. no level plug, fill and drain though. stick with grease it seems.. or can i use the swivel housing of the non abs (with level plugs) onto the abs swivel...? stick with grease,says the voice in my head... so take the bearing out the stub axle, then replaced the seal, and put the old...
