Well I didn’t stop working on her I guess I just stopped posting. Life for hard and took the some of fun out of it. It turned into work instead of joy. I have her running and driving as good as I think it can be and I have her for sale. I’m amazed at how many people just come look at it...

    Speedo and Tach are wrong

I’m using a Code reader deal that shows live data, temps, rpm, mph, and so on. I will check the sizes of the two pulleys on the alternator, I swapped the pulleys on the tensioner from the larger one to the smaller one. It’s a miracle I go that done on my way to work this morning while turning...

    Speedo and Tach are wrong

I’m sorry I am still getting used to the LR way of anything can affect anything. Stock 16” wheels and tires, I know I need a slight lift and bigger wheels and tires and your right. Speedo is off 8-10 mph, Tach is off 350-500 rpm. I changed the wheel and bearing in the tensioner pulley...

    Speedo and Tach are wrong

1998 D1 85k gas v-8. Plugged in the Code reader and my tach and Speedo are both off, I read that the alternator has a lot to do with the tach so I made sure the white wire was plugged correctly into the alternator which is 3 months old from RoverFarm. Any ideas why they would be off? I can’t...

So I took a break from posting but not from the constant messin with the car. Some of the fun has left because the more is no light at the end of the tunnel and the necessity of driving longer distances for work is increasing. With every step forward I take two back, I have heard that...

Thanks Knupke. Last night as a Fog Light that needed replaced. It’s always something my wife says but I always say at least we have about 50 % of the needed parts already I’m the garage and I showed here how much a LR mechanic charges and she quieted down a touch. Love it

Lucky for that ball joint I had it soaking in PB Blaster overnight and today. I only had to get all 20 tons the press had and got it with a 3 lb hammer and boooom. So that took less time than It took me to change my drawers! Now all getting it cleaned up and after the A arm end bushings...

As I sat at work thinking about my car like most 16 year olds, oh wait I’m a grown up. Anyway sitting at work I was wondering how I could not just get that castle nut off the rear ball joint I had this feeling of anger come over me, and as I avoided all work and most people I realized I can...

So true, but none of the shiny tools helped me with the castle nut on the rear ball joint. I’m about to get real redneck with the welder and make something to get that dude off. That last part sounds different than I mean it.

Re-energized and it didn’t take much! While pulling the jump seats out of the black one I grabbed the blue plug wires so check the resistance in them and the ones on my green one. The new ones I had on til last night were garbage, Accel brand I think, 8 mm high temp whatever. Everyone...
