I edited a previous post as that's now sorted....just the locks to sort!!!

Hi, messed up a bit...disconnected drivers side front door loom where it goes through A pillar to check for corrosion. Small amount of corrosion, was going to sort out later so shut door and locked it manually. Unlocked it following day, started...

Get a pressure gauge, and connect it directly to the pump output. When pump runs it should rapidly go up to >>150psi. If not pump isn't producing enough air.

Thanks the offer, might end up posting it to you! Yeah, pump still running all the time. I'm going to try get some live data this weekend. Thanks everyone for your help, not giving up yet!

If there is a dodgy height sensor would this always show a fault code? Is there anyone willing to bench test the valve block? Thanks

    Yeah, did 'read all'.

Yeah, doors were closed. First photo when put to high, second when normal.

Look at your second photo. it show "Go To" and below it gives the 4 height buttons. Be a good idea to read the EAS diagnostic instructions

Thanks, how do I do that?

What could cause that? Would it help if it was recalibrated?

Hi all, couple more photos from today with status 'good idle'. Anything look wrong?

Vehicle has moved can be ignored, it just means that has been a height adjustment after the ignition was turned off.

Thanks for the replies, I'll have another go tomorrow. I did use 'get heights', hadn't realised it wasn't on 'good idle'. I took this picture of the faults when on 'good idle'.

Finally finished the welding...who said P38's don't rot! Anyway, connected it to the EAS software and took these photos. They don't mean much to me but hoping they do to some of you. Thanks

Still in the cutting out stage but will when I start welding. I have 5 Range Rover Classics so I'm used to welding!!

Not had chance yet to check the height readings/calibration. Actually doing some welding on it around the rear mounts and the lower bar/crossmember...thought these didn't rust!

Check the live data on the sensors for twitching in the readings. Any glitching from a reading it could be sensor plugs or a sensor could be faulty. You can bench test these also, slowly moving a sensor through its range while connected to a DVM...

Thanks. Yes, I checked for leaks and didn't find any. I'll ask my friend that has a faultmate and the software to check the stored and actual heights. I still have the EAS software disc and leads I bought from Datatek about 10 years ago but need...

Thank you. My apologies for missing your previous post. A friend did connect it to his laptop with software installed, height sensors were all within tolerance. Will check it again and the calibration. Thanks

Tried it leaving a door open, will reach 145psi then turn off. Also tried a different ECU, same problem. There's two issues, 1. The height adjustments are far too often, 2. The pump is turning on before it's dropped to 110-116psi. I'm going to...

I've uploaded it to you tube, here is the link. Thanks for your help Datatek. I'll change the bags, might be worth doing the height sensors as well.

Thanks for all your replies. Changed both relays, no change. Checked wiring behind front passenger footwell panel, all seems ok. Disconnected the pump, pressure was showing 140psi. Went for 3-4 mile drive and pressure had dropped to about 90psi...

According to my version of RAVE, the pressure switch closes at 140psi and opens at 120psi so your figures are not far off. The drawings indicate that the compressor is not directly controlled by the pressure switch but by the ECU.

I have just replaced my compressor (brand new Dunlop) and valve block (refurbed from a X8R kit). As far as I can see I now have no leaks anywhere, and the kit is all new. I went for a good 12 mile drive on Saturday with the Nanocom recording...

When the suspension ECU lowers pressure in an airbag, the air has to go somewhere so it leaves via the exhaust. If subsequently the pressure needs to increase, then the tank pressure will reduce to provide the air needed. The compressor...

FYI, I checked a couple of pressure switches today on the bench. Fed the valve block using a Mercedes Wabco pump, so it gets up to pressure quite quickly. Both switches close about 135-138psi, and open again around 121-126psi. Tried with...

When the suspension is adjusting and vents air through the exhaust should this cause the pressure in the tank to drop? I've read that the compressor shuts off at 145psi and turns on again when pressure has dropped below 104-116psi. Mine is...
