There is infact no problem with your engine or transmission its a 47crown wheel and 10pinion diff basicly put a range rover/disco/defender 46CW 13pinion diff in it makes the difference belive me!

Hello I have got a Range rover that was 3.9 auto. This week I have remover the gas guzzling V8 and replaced it with a Perkins 4.236 Diesel engine with a miller conversion it is coupled to a old 4 speed LT95 gearbox which has air operated diff lock on the transfer box... is there any way I can...
-
Incredible! I see the Viscous coupling is not cheap.....
-
My rear diff exploded recently! Now I have repaired it, The reason as to why it failed was because of the viscous coupling in the transfer box has jammed.. aka (locked diff in the transfer Box) And when turning sharp the wheels try to skid and the car bangs and judders .ect!
Will driving on...
-
not looked at the fuse boxes under the frount seats yet possibly might be one of them..
-
My m8 has a 1992 3.9 v8 and it has a ambolizer and for some unknown reason the igrnation won't come on at all. Any way to get arround this problem ps all fuses have been cheaked and are all fine!
-
-
ok il try that! so if it is that how do I go about fixing it?
-
when im turning around in a car park or what eaver at full lock either way I turn It judders and clunks! It this the viscous coupling in the transfer box stuck on?
??
-
My drivers door has been getting worse at opening, and now will not open from the inside as well now.
Any ideas how to get it open so I can take the door card off and mend it properly?
Thanks
-
I understand that I must do that test.. well as soon as I replace the rear diff
my range is 1993 so should it have this vcu?
-
What dose a viscous coupling do in transfer case?
Will my range rover classic have one?
How dose it work?
How can you tell if it still works?

All i know is all the tractors have breather pipes that just dangle and let the fumes out, I have been told its only done like that on the range rover and outer cars is for the emissions test.
