    Thanks for that.Pretty sure the garage tried swapping them around but for some reason the misfire is only on 3 and 5. Is it possibly an ECU problem ?

    Hi all. Got a 2001 V6 which runs rough on tickover. When put on the diagnostic computer it showed misfires on cylinders 3 and 5 when idling.Anything above those revs and it seems to clear itself.     V6 Juddering at tickover

    Finally had a chance to check the pipes as clutchdust suggested but no obviuos cracks found. Still hasnt lost any coolant so assuming its not HGF.Anything else I can check for before going through that rigmarole to check the gearbox oil level ? Thanks in advance.

    Not being very bright about these things , would the gearbox oil level cause this if drive isnt selected ? I may not be describing the problem very well.It is a bit like the tickover level is slightly too low.
