    I've had my current 2008 RR L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 since early April. Love the car but it quickly became unreliable and now absolutely won't start. Everything seems OK and working as normal when you put the key in and turn it as far as the run position, all dash lights and media system working...

    Ooops... ...I think I might have got away with that as turning the crank at the pulley end still turns the flywheel and all the valves open and close in the right order (by the same amount). Phew. Got my doubts about the glow plugs, shouldn't they be hot to the touch after three or four goes...

    Thank you all. Bled every blooming pipe I can find and got lashings of diesel everywhere. Double and tripple checked pump, cam and crank timing (by repeatedly stipping down and rebuilding). I've even tried the pump 180 degrees out (just in case it's rotor was put on wrongly) but not a flicker...

    Thanks Paul & Huddy, The reason I started again by stripping it right down was because I thought I might have got one of the shafts out by 180 but it was exactly as Huddy describes. Any other ideas?
