Ok just alittle advise you work by proces of elimintation as the grinding noise is left hand side and front it can only be a few things so list the mechanical parts that side then check each one by one eliminating as you go but normaly grinding is brakes if you have discs at front make sure...

All gas conversions start on petrol anyway, and your coment was not very useful as i want to go of road with vehicle and gas has less power so i want to use the petrol.

From knowledge nearly all diesel engines should be changed at 60k if they do go over they still advise 60k if been towing of heavy loading.
you can reset the service light but will need the tool can get them on ebay.
