    Fluid leaking from hub cap

It's already brand new swivel grease in there so I think my only choice is new seal, I'm confident in the stripping of my hub now so it's not such a daunting task. Decided I might as well replace the swivel pin bearings while I'm at it too.

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

I sense a little sarcasm there :P I found that it's an australian company called hardy spicer that make the part A09803-052 so I've emailed them for some info about my CV. As for the oil seal I'm thinking I could buy one of each type I find as they're cheap

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

Looks like it's leaking from the bottom of the swivel ball, where thhe seal is on the back of the swivel housing, more practice at removing the hub for me! Just need to find the correct seal now!

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

OK, so now for the next problem, since doing the bearings my swivel housing seems to be leaking. Any suggestions on cause/remedy? Cheers

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

Thanks fella, but no that's not much use, I have a 90, I bought an AEU2522P from rimmer bros thinking that was the right part and after fitting my half shaft no longer engaged in the diff and the splines on the end of the stub axle stuck out too far! For now I'm running on new bearings and the...

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

All done, well sort of, ended up not having the correct CV to put on. The one on there now is part no A09803-052 can someone tell me what part I can use to replace this. I've now had my hub assembly to bits that many times I could do it in my sleep! Cheers

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

Looks like rimemrbros are just trying to confuse me, all their wheel bearing kits have the same parts in them regardless of the model or axle number specified. Job done, new CV joint and bearings coming up.

Not the easiest thing in the world to find then?!

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

Thanks for the info, I'll check out those parts. Rimmerbros seem to do wheel bearing kits by axle number, can someone tell me where to find the axle number (yes I've figured it might be on the axle somewhere :P) I believe them to be 1994 defeder 90 axles. Cheers

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

That's what I thought, also makes my choice of CV joint easy as it appears there is only the one type for non-ABS. I just need to find the correct bearings, can you offer advice on how I might be able to identify what I have/need? Think I've decided to replace CV joint and hub bearings to be...

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

It's a 1989 chassis, with 1994 defender body, axles, gearbox and a 1994 200tdi from a disco in it. So a bit of a mix in there. I'm trying to source some parts before I make a start on the job but with so many different donor vehicles in the past I'm struggling to ensure I get the correct parts.

    Fluid leaking from hub cap

OK folks I've been pretty lazy about getting the wheel off and taking a look, but now in addition to my knocking/tapping under engine braking I'm also getting a pulsing on the brake pedal which seems to be in time. Anyone want to hazard a guess before I manage to put some time in to pulling the...
