Tbh I have considered this. But with work and other things, I just can't find the time. I am honestly gettin to the point thinking sell all the offroad bits like cage wheels rear axle winches ect and then making it more of a daily but. Hard to decide what to do.

i did think that but I didn't want to strip it all an do it up to sell at a massive loss. It owes me probably 4K in parts. I can't post on here either as my posts are low. I wouldn't sell if I could afford 2 motors.

Can I ask how knew wher put the rear axle so that the arc as it raised was in the right place. I'm seriously tempted by that mod. :) loving the thread aswel iv been following it from when you started it lol :)

The arc isn't of great worry as when i plan to fit these I'm goin to trayback it, what sort of setup is best for less axle walk along with good articulation. I do have a 4 wheel laser aligner but with the d2 axles being wider and the thing bein so dam sensitive i think it'd be easier to do it...

Can anyone tell me what's involved with converting to d2 axles on a defender, does the watts linkage get used or the a frame. And does anyone know the best way of aligning the axle? Cheers Chris

exactly my ppoint they must just make up a number in there head lol have your mods put your insurance up much or not realy changed :)

chassis aint realy a problem with a little bit of gringind an welding :P and im not sayin id drop a td5 in straight away, its just that landys are as a lot of people say like mecano and thats what like how things can be swapped and changed and engineed with a little bit of thought behind them :)

well lets get started my uncle has a defender 90 and its failed mot on a couple things well hes finaly decided to sell and im wondering what it take elctrical wise to drop a td5 engine in, can i use part tdi part td5 wiring loom?? i have wiring diagrams for a 300tdi and td5 system but im better...
