    I don’t think there’s a ‘safe way’ to lift the pedal lock in and out to be honest. Unless you do it one handed whilst keeping your back straight but then you’d look really dodgy.:)

    With the scrapping of the old defender, it baffles me that they couldn't just make the defender exactly the same but bigger so that us tall folk can actually fit in them.

    I tried to use the side step to make sure I was lifting properly but still I think it was that which has been causing a sore back. I even made one on in work with stainless steel but never got round to welding the padlock to it.

    I'm 6ft 3 and athletic built. I fitted seat rails, cut part of the bullkhead out and fitted Mazda RX8 seats coupled with a momo sterring wheel and have plenty room.

    Guys, if you can afford the pedal lock that is permanently fitted to the floor of the vehcile then do so. I've had the big bulky heavy effort and it's no good for your back, its really heavy and awkward especially when parking in a car park and its a pain to find somewhere to put it that wouldnt...

    I know this would have been asked a thousand times but which seats would fit in place of the original seats? I'm after ones that are like sitting in a big fat comfy leather recliner rather than any sports bucket type.
