Her indoors has just broken down and got RAC'd to Plymouth!! Needs a new alternator. I am hoping to drive from Swindon to Plymouth to try to fix the car. Anyone know where I can get an alternator for a 97 300 Tdi Disco late on a Saturday or a Sunday!!! Thanx:mad:

:confused: How do I know if my Discovery is a 200 or a 300? It's a 1997 and the VIN starts with WA. Just found it on another thread!!!

Have the same problem. You can prise out the Landrover Badge with a small screwdriver. This gives you access to the handle and allows you to push it back to the "closed" position. A load of WD40 and lots of "exercising" the handle should unstick it!

Ours is the same. Brake lights in the pods, indicators and side lights in the rear bumper!

Its a 1997 TDi.
